Make-A-Wish Foundation Partnership

Children’s Theatre Company is honored to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help one little girl’s dream of participating in the theatre come true. Nine-year-old Kendall has a congenital heart defect and chronic lung disorder. A huge fan of CTC, Kendall wanted to take a class at Theatre Arts Training with her friends, meet the CTC Acting Company (including her personal favorite actor, Reed Sigmund) on a backstage tour, and get the chance to be on stage in a CTC production. We were all so excited to grant these wishes!

On October 12, Kendall and her family attended a performance of Busytown the Musical. At curtain call, Kendall’s favorite actor Reed Sigmund announced to the theatre that Kendall’s dream of being on stage at Children’s Theatre Company would become a reality - a total surprise to Kendall! On December 12, she will play a Who Girl in Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Also as part of her wish, Kendall and eight of her friends took a Grinch-themed Theatre Arts Training workshop where they learned acting technique.

We are thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish and are so happy to have been given the opportunity to fulfill Kendall’s wishes.
