CTC and the Autism Society of Minnesota offer arts workshops
CTC and the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) are offering a series of four two-hour interactive family workshops modeling art-based strategies to engage the whole family. Specially designed for parents and/or caregivers with a child or children ages 3-5 with autism spectrum disorder and their siblings, each workshop explores theater activities that facilitate self-expression, creativity, and imaginative play. Each workshop also includes a unique lesson that is meant to support the social and imaginative development of each child and his or her family. Because each session focuses on different methods of expression, participants can choose to take one or all four. Each registered family will receive one child’s ticket to an upcoming Sensory Friendly performance at Children’s Theatre Company.
