Educate. Challenge. Inspire.
CTC’s Student Matinee, Community Engagement, and Theatre Arts Training programs reach tens of thousands of young people of all ages, ranging from early learners to young adults. Our skilled teaching artists engage students and teachers within school classrooms and on site in our theaters and at our very own CTC McGuire Education Center.
Theatre Arts Training
CTC’s Theatre Arts Training program offers classes and camp for students ages 2-18. Taught by professional teachers and artists, our program features introductory courses to Pre-Professional performance opportunities. Our process-based approach emphasizes skill-building, creative-thinking, and collaboration tailored to the individual needs and interests of our students. CTC welcomes students of all races/ethnicities, physical and cognitive abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Financial assistance is available through payment plans and scholarships.
Full class listing available at our Minneapolis location, limited school-year offerings in Woodbury, Shoreview, and Coon Rapids.
Steeped in our nationally recognized Neighborhood Bridges philosophy, the CTC Community Engagement team creates models that arts organizations, schools and educators utilize to animate teaching and learning and develop critical thinking through creative writing, storytelling and theatre arts. The Neighborhood Bridges philosophy informs each of our Community Engagement programs: the 31 week school age Neighborhood Bridges (currently serving grades 2-8), Early Bridges (serving ages 3- 5) and Theatre and Literacy Partnership (serving second grade). Our programming exists to promote accessibility and to deepen engagement with teachers and students locally and nation-wide.
