Internships

Be Part of the New Decade of Theatre Artists! Making the transition from the academic to the world of professional theatre can be tough. Making that transition without the benefit of practical learning experience with a reputable professional theatre makes it even tougher. Children's Theatre Company (CTC) internships provide the opportunity to develop the tools you will need to move forward in your chosen field - observing on a daily basis with dedicated theatre professionals and collaborating together in the largest children's theatre in America. Build your resume, make connections and have the option of earning college credits. Administration and production internships are available year round.

Internships at CTC are unpaid; however, interns receive other employee perks such as complimentary tickets, invitations to meet-and-greets, staff meetings and more.

Internships are available in: Production Management, Stage Management, Music, Sound, Lighting Design, Electrics, Costume Design, Scenery, Paint, Directing, Dramaturgy/Literary, Marketing & Communications, Development, Play Licensing and Education (Theatre Arts Training and Neighborhood Bridges).

Internships can run from a few weeks to a full season. The type of internship applied for determines the length of internship. Please check the individual internship descriptions for suggested timeframe.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. It is recommended that persons interested in these positions apply anywhere from one to six months prior to their availability, depending on the specific internship for which they are applying.

CTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We advocate for diversity throughout the organization and strongly encourage applications from members of traditionally underrepresented groups.
