- How much are Public Group tickets?

Prices vary for every production, due to dynamic pricing. Groups of 6-9 people will receive 10% off each ticket for all regular season productions. Groups of 10 or more will receive 25% off each ticket. Group discounts are not available for preview performances, $15 tickets, VIP seating, previously purchased tickets, or in combination with other offers.

- When is payment due?

Family and Friend Groups: Payment and final numbers are due at the time of reservation. To provide more flexibility, payment plans are available by calling Annie Crepeau, Ticket Office Supervisor, 612.872.5181.

Company and Community Groups: Payment and final numbers are due weeks prior to your scheduled performance date. If payment is not recieved by that time, the order will be canceled. Refer to your order confirmation or call 612.872.5319 if you are unsure of your due date. If the initial ticket order is made within the 7 week deadline, payment in full will be due at the time of reservation.

- How do I submit payment?

Family and Friend Groups: A credit card over the phone at the time of reservation is the preferred method of payment. Tickets may also be purchased by visiting the Ticket Office window during normal business hours to provide payment in person. The $3.00/ticket service fees are waived if purchasing in person at the window OR if purchasing 16 or more tickets over the phone. Tickets for the whole group must be purchased by one group leader; we do not allow individual group member payments.

Company and Community Groups: A credit card over the phone at the time of reservation is the preferred method of payment. Please call 612.872.5319 Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm to remit payment. You may also remit a check to the below address as long as it arrives no later than the payment deadline listed on your invoice. Tickets for the whole group must be purchased by one group leader; we do not allow individual group member payments. Please note that public group tickets cannot be paid for with a Purchase Order.

- What is your cancellation policy?

Family and Friend Groups: Once payment is made with a group discount on 6 or more tickets, it is a final sale. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be permitted. If you selected a payment plan at the time of reservation and are cancelling the order before the final charge(s) has been processed, you will not incur the cost of the subsequent charge(s); any payments made toward the order up to the point of cancellation are non-refundable.

Company and Community Groups: Once payment is made on a group order, it is a final sale. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be permitted. If a cancellation is made before payment is processed, no penalty will be incurred.

- Do I need to make a deposit?

Family and Friend Groups: Yes, payment in full is due at the time of reservation unless a payment plan is requested. In that case, 50% of the total order cost will be due at the time of reservation and the other 50% will automatically be charged to the card on file 1 month after the date of reservation OR 10 business days prior to the performance--whichever comes first.

Company and Community Groups: No deposit payment is required. Seats will be held for no charge until your ticket order's payment deadline (7 weeks before the performance). If the initial ticket order is made within the 7 week deadline, payment in full will be due at the time of reservation.

- Do you give out any comps with group orders?

We do not provide comps with group orders.

- What if our numbers drop from our initial reservation?

Family and Friend Groups: Once payment is made with a group discount on 6 or more tickets, it is a final sale. If you selected a payment plan at the time of reservation and need to cancel the entire order before the final charge(s) has been processed, you will not incur the cost of the subsequent charge(s); any payments made toward the order up to the point of cancellation are non-refundable. Partial order cancellations are not permitted.

Company and Community Groups: Up until your 7 week payment deadline, you have the ability to adjust your numbers, change dates, or even cancel the order with no penalty. Once payment is made, it will be considered a final sale; no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be permitted.

- What if our numbers grow from our initial reservation?

Family and Friend Groups: As long as there are tickets available in the performance, you can absolutely add on to your existing order. As an added benefit, additional group tickets will not be subject to any price increases that have occurred since the initial reservation date. Seating locations will be subject to availability at the time they are added; CTC cannot guarantee that additional tickets will be available adjacent to the exisiting seats in the order. - Can I return any tickets I failed to sell for a refund?

No, once you provide payment it is a final sale. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be permitted.

- What if there is a snowstorm, and we can't make the trip?

During inclement weather, please allow extra travel time, as CTC does not delay and rarely cancels performances due to weather.

- I have a large group. Do you have any suggestions for keeping track of our seating assignments?

Family and Friend Groups: Yes! A downloadable PDF titled "Group Tracking Sheet" is available for use and can be found in the green "Group Resources" box on the right-hand side of the "Group Sales" page within the "Tickets" tab above. If you plan to distribute tickets to group members in advance of the performance date, please note that our Ticket Office will be unable to reprint lost/forgotten tickets for individual families or members of a larger group order unless the group leader can provide the exact seating locations initially provided to them

- Is there an age minimum to attend a performance?

Children of all ages are welcome at CTC, and everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket regardless of age including infants. Lap passes are available for purchase at the Ticket Office window for infants up to age 3 for $5 each to performances in the UnitedHealth Group Stage and for select performances in the Cargill Stage. - Is there a dress code for CTC? 

No, we do not have a dress code. Audience members are free to arrive in jeans or tuxedos.

- Does everyone in my group need a ticket?

CTC’s policy is that everyone coming into the Theatre must possess either a ticket or a lap pass, regardless of age or position. This includes infants of any age.

- Does my infant need a ticket?

Yes. Visit www.childrenstheatre.org/lappass for more info. 

- When will the length of the show be announced?

As all CTC productions are live performances, running times may vary. Approximate run times may be published on childrenstheatre.org based on prior performances or staged readings of productions, but these are subject to change during Preview Week. Please visit the respective show page for the most up-to-date information.

- Is there an intermission?

Many shows that exceed a 60 minute run time will have a 15 minute intermission, but there are some that do not have one at all. Please visit the respective show page for the most up-to-date information.

- Can my group sit together?

Seating locations for all groups are assigned at the time of reservation. CTC will do its best to ensure groups are seated together and accommodate other seating arrangement requests.

- How do I get to CTC?

CTC is located at 2400 3rd Ave South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404, just south of Downtown Minneapolis in the Whittier neighborhood. Detailed directions and parking information can be found here.

- Where is your lobby located?

The main entrance to CTC is located off the circle driveway on 3rd Avenue South between 24th and 25th Street East. The CTC Ticket Office is on the street level to the left of the entrance. The Target Lobby of the UnitedHealth Group Stage is located on the second level, which can be found by going through the glass doors to the right of the main entrance towards Mia, and left up the granite stairs. The Cargill Lobby of the Cargill Stage is located just to the left of the Ticket Office on the street level.
