Arts Administration (Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer)

Develop skills in arts administration in Children’s Theatre Company’s renowned script licensing program, Plays for Young Audiences (PYA). CTC is well-known for commissioning scripts that are topical, contemporary, fantastical, and written by some of today’s leading playwrights. In addition to CTC’s body of work, PYA also represents a cannon of sophisticated, high-quality plays and musicals for young audiences created by respected playwrights nationally and internationally. Through its service to the larger children’s theatre community, PYA is a catalyst to drive the field of theatre for young people to new heights. For more on PYA, go to playsforyoungaudiences.org.

Learning Projects include project management, marketing, budgeting, and legal documents. It is of upmost importance that the intern receives the education and hands-on experience in the area they would like to focus on, and we will develop a work plan or project schedule that suits the needs of the intern.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Arts Administration or Non-profit Management. Internships are flexible in duration and schedule to accommodate the needs of the intern and PYA. This is an unpaid internship. Interns are eligible for two complimentary tickets to each CTC UHG Mainstage performance and complimentary tickets to CTC Cargill Stage performances (when available) occurring during the internship period. This internship qualifies for college/university credit.
