Weekday Student Matinee Ticketing Policies

By submitting a Ticket Request Form, you agree to the following policies:
Reservations:
  • Submission of a Ticket Request Form is not a guarantee of a reservation. If we are able to accommodate your request, a Reservation Confirmation & Invoice will be sent via email within one week.
  • If you do not receive a Reservation Confirmation & Invoice email within one week, it is your responsibility to contact Emily Joan Smith, Student Matinee Coordinator, at 612.872.5166.
  • A minimum group size of 10 is required to make and maintain a reservation for a Weekday Student Matinee performance.
  • Student Matinees are intended as an affordable educational opportunity for school-aged children and their educators.  Student Matinees are not intended as a cheaper alternative to public performances for family groups. For more details, refer to the Student Matinee FAQ.
Final Number/Cancellation & Payment:
  • Final Numbers/Cancellation Deadline is six weeks prior to your scheduled performance. Final Numbers due immediately upon reservation if made within six weeks of performance.
  • Any reservations not confirmed by the Final Numbers/Cancellation Deadline will default to the numbers listed in your Reservation Confirmation. You will be responsible for payment in the amount listed on your original invoice.
  • After the Final Numbers/Cancellation Deadline, no seats may be dropped from your reservation.
  • Subject to availability, seats may be added to your reservation at any time. Only the Group Lead can add seats to a reservation.
  • Payment Deadline is four weeks prior to your scheduled performance. Payment is due immediately upon reservation if made within four weeks of performance.
  • Reservations unpaid on Payment Deadline will be released at the discretion of CTC.
  • CTC does not provide refunds or exchanges for unused tickets, nor day of show compensation (absent vouchers) for absent students, chaperones, or adults.
Refund, Cancellation, & Weather:
  • All sales are final. Children’s Theatre Company does not provide refunds or exchanges.
  • CTC does not provide refunds or exchanges for unused tickets, nor day of show compensation (absent vouchers) for absent students, chaperones, or adults.
  • A Weekday Student Matinee performance will be canceled by 7:00 a.m. only if one of the following events has occurred:
    • A state of emergency has been declared.
    • CTC does not have power and/or heat.
    • MNDOT has pulled plows off the road due to unsafe driving conditions.
    • Metro Transit has suspended bus service due to unsafe driving conditions.
    • Minneapolis Public Schools have canceled school due to cold/weather.
If a Weekday Student Matinee performance were canceled, our decision would be made by 7:00 a.m.
