Staff Spotlight: Amanda Maurer, Digital Marketing Coordinator

CTC: What does the Digital Marketing Coordinator at CTC do? 

AM: As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, I work with several departments to create and deliver content to our patrons through email communications, digital advertising, and more. My job is all about figuring out and executing different ways to get the word out about our organization, shows, and educational programming. 

CTC: What is your favorite thing about your job? 

AM: What I love most about my job is the balance between creativity and data. One day, I might be brainstorming ideas for a new campaign; the next, I’m analyzing engagement data to see what’s resonating with our audiences. It’s rewarding to see how creative concepts translate into measurable results, and that combination keeps the work both exciting and meaningful. 

CTC: How can someone prepare for a career like yours? 

AM: To prepare for a career in theatre marketing, I would recommend immersing yourself and networking within the community, ask a lot of questions, and be adaptable. The marketing industry and the arts industry are both constantly changing, so don’t be afraid to test new strategies out and learn from them! 

CTC: What’s your all-time favorite play or musical, and why? 

AM: It would have to be The Wizard of Oz. When I was in first grade, my family and I went to the local high school’s production of it, and I fell in love. From then on “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was constantly playing and I even had action figures of Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and the Scarecrow. I am so excited for this show to be on the CTC stage next spring!

CTC: What’s your go-to desk snack when focusing on a big project? 

AM: I’m a big desk-snacker. Some of my favorite go-tos are oatmeal sandwich cookies, cashews, and grapes!
