2023-2024 Season CTC's Impact in Action

Join us in celebrating the highlights of a great 2023-2024 Season and all those who helped make that possible!
Ticket sales cover less than half the cost of our total operations. As a nonprofit organization, nearly half of our annual budget comes from philanthropic contributions. CTC relies on the generosity of our community to create extraordinary theatre experiences that foster curiosity, empathy, and imagination in patrons of all ages.
What a success the 2023-2024 Season was!
Highlights from the infographic:
- 57,503 children, teachers, and chaperones attended extraordinary theatre experiences at CTC through our Student Matinee program.
- 1,765 students enrolled in Theatre Arts Training (TAT) camps and classes at CTC, with 169 receiving up to 80% off tuition through ACT Pass scholarships.
- 186 artists were involved in season productions and new play development at CTC. Starting with Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress, this marked the first year of CTC double-casting student actors to prevent fatigue and help young cast members balance school and performance responsibilities.
- More than $900,000 was raised at the Curtain Call Ball to support the Opening Act Student Matinee program, ensuring every Minneapolis Public School 2nd grader could experience CTC’s production of Alice in Wonderland.
- 11,284 children and families received $5 tickets through our ACT Pass program, which helps eliminate economic barriers to experiencing the magic of theatre. This was a 19% increase in program participation over the last year.
- 495 Minnesota ZIP codes were represented by our audience members and programming participants throughout the year.
- 2,440 audience members attended Sensory Friendly performances, ensuring everyone in our community can access the joy of live theatre.
- Over 200,000 children and adults were served through CTC performances and educational and outreach programming.
- 3,874 households generously donated to support CTC’s work on stage, in our classrooms, and in our community.
