There is a real Norwegian town named Arendal.
Walt Disney’s great-grandfather’s name was Arundel.
Both are said to have played a role in the decision to place Frozen in the imaginary Kingdom of Arendelle.
Inspiration was taken from several Norwegian cities to create the landscape and architecture in Frozen.
“Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” was cut from the original script and restored multiple times. They were very unsure about it being a good fit for the story! (What?! It’s so good!)
Elsa was originally written to be a villain! However, after some audience feedback on the draft, they shifted their focus to the relationship between the sisters and let the villainous traits goooo.
