Summer Camps
Welcome to Theatre Arts Training!
2025 Summer Camps will go on sale in January.
What are Theatre Arts Training Summer Camps?
Children’s Theatre Company summer camps provide experience to build curious, creative, and confident young people. With 11 weeks of camp, each week brings a new adventure for students in grades K-12.
Summer Adventurers | Rising Grades K-3
Our camps for Grades K-3 focus on imaginative play around a theme, book, or idea. Campers work collaboratively to develop an original performance piece to showcase the week’s learning.
Summer Studio | Rising Grades 4-6
Campers are introduced to the foundations of various elements of theatrical development. Our professional teaching artists create student-centered experiences in which students’ ideas, skills, and abilities take center stage.
Summer Studio | Rising Grades 6-8
Students can choose from camps that will flex their musical theatre, acting, and designing muscles. Students can focus on creating original scenes and plays, learning new songs and choreography, or building fantastic worlds.
Summer Studio | Rising Grades 8-12
The sky’s the limit. Students have options to dive into multiple theatre-making options. From half-day camps to two-week intensives, camps and this level challenge students in performance and design skills.

Triple Threat Summer Intensive
Theatre Arts Training’s performance opportunities are specifically designed for students who have a demonstrated commitment to their craft as performers. Students work with peers and industry professionals to produce a play or musical. During this five-week intensive, students will spend their mornings in studio classes, advancing voice and dance skills, while afternoons are dedicated to rehearsal. The Triple Threat intensive performs on our Cargill Stage.
Summer Adventurers Camps
Summer Adventurers camps focus on dramatic play to explore characters, settings, and themes with an interdisciplinary approach, including visual art, movement, books, and music.
World Premiere Camps
World Premiere (WP) camps focus on creating original scenes or plays through acting exercises, group brainstorming, and improvisation. Students in these camps are not given scripts but rather work collaboratively to create an original performance piece that is unique to them.
Stagecraft Camps
Stagecraft (SC) camps use visual art such as puppets, scenery creation, or props as a starting point for theatrical creation—perfect for all makers, creators, and crafts people! Stagecraft camps combine performance and theatrical design for a unique experience.
Showtime Camps
Showtime (ST) camps rehearse and perform from existing scripts, providing practical experience in bringing a play from the script to the stage.
Musical Theatre Camps
Musical Theatre (MT) camps rehearse dances, scenes, and songs from existing musicals. Students in Musical Theatre camps will have the opportunity to work with a professional choreographer and music director.
Musical Theatre Intensive Camps
Musical Theatre Intensive (MTI) camps are two-week camps offering a deeper experience with some of today’s most-loved musicals. Perfect for those students who are looking to advance their musical theatre training by working with industry professionals.
