Access for the Hearing Impaired Access for the Hearing Impaired
Accessibility for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted performances are listed below. Please specifically request seating for ASL interpretation by calling the Ticket Office at 612.874.0400 or click here and choose the show of your choice. Both the UnitedHealth Group and Cargill Stages are regularly equipped with Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) for our patrons who require additional audio support in performances. ALDs with headsets are available to use free of charge at the Audience Support Station in the theatre lobby for the production that you are attending. You will need to have a valid ID, driver’s license, or credit card when borrowing an ALD. Consult your audiologist to answer questions about which audio cables you need to connect your hearing technology or cochlear implant to the ALD if you don’t wish to use the provided headset.

Access for the Visually Impaired Access for the Visually Impaired
Accessibility for the Visually Impaired: Children's Theatre Company offers Audio Described performances for each production with Braille programs and Sensory Tours upon request.

When I turned on my apparatus, the pre-show description included an in-depth characterization of the characters, costumes and stage set-up. As the play progressed, the describer gave a detailed account of their behaviors/mannerisms as well as their location and movement. I enjoy audio description, as it enhances my experience by filling in the visual nuances I would otherwise miss.
