Acting Boot Camps (Grades 7 – 12)

Virtual Academy Bootcamps are designed for students to participate independently from their home. Each day will have time for group warm-ups, a large group discussion on the focus of the day, break out sessions for small group work, independent exploration, and individual coaching. Some days may include assignments between sessions to record independent work, review fellow classmates recordings, and incorporate or prepare feedback for the next day.

Acting Boot Camp: Scene Study

Analyze a script and create convincing performances by connecting and responding to your scene partners. Each day will feature a focused lesson and individualized coaching, time to record and upload scene work for mentor and group feedback. Week will culminate in a masterclass style sharing of scene work.

Acting Boot Camp: Solo Performance

Create a short solo performance piece. Each day will feature a focused lesson and individualized coaching, time to record and upload pieces of your performance for mentor and group feedback. Week will culminate in a masterclass style sharing of each student’s one-person show.

Acting Boot Camp: Audition

Learn the secrets to a great audition like how to make a good first impression, what to put on your resume, and delivering a memorable audition. Each day will feature a focused lesson and individualized coaching, time to record and upload sample auditions for mentor and group feedback. Week will culminate in a masterclass style sharing of mock auditions. Class includes a packet of age-appropriate monologues.
