Musical Theatre Academy is an intermediate-level training program for students who are interested in advancing their singing, dancing, and acting skills. Academy classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for eight weeks at Children’s Theatre Company. Students build the discipline, focus, and creative risk-taking required for more intensive performance opportunities. Students receive focused, hands-on training with industry professionals to help advance skills and prepare them for audition-based pre-professional programs. Parents are invited to enjoy a final sharing of student learning at the end of each session.
TAT Academy
TAT Academy classes are designed for students in grades 4-8 who are ready to strengthen their technique and grow their skills in acting and musical theatre. Serving as an opportunity for students with prior theatrical experience, Academy classes act as a bridge between skills-based classes and CTC’s audition-based pre-professional programs. Offered in eight-week sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Academy classes provide rigorous, hands-on training with professional teaching artists. Rooted in ensemble-based learning, students build the discipline, focus, and creative risk-taking required for more intensive performance opportunities. Each session culminates in a final sharing for families, highlighting student growth and progress.
