This fast-paced, interdisciplinary training program focuses on the in-depth musical theatre performance skills required for a professional career in theatre performance. With an emphasis on learning, retaining, and performing choreography and song, this course models the rigor, dedication, and etiquette expected in professional rehearsal spaces. Spend three weeks training with prestigious Twin Cities professionals to hone your musical theatre skills and prepare for professional opportunities.
- In voice, study healthy practices for maintaining a powerhouse voice, strengthen your skills for ensemble and solo singing, and learn to identify key elements of musical theatre genres.
- In dance and movement, practice conditioning, develop techniques to master popular steps from ballet, jazz, and musical theatre dance, and learn choreography at the pace of a professional rehearsal.
- In acting, gain valuable insight for auditioning, dive into acting technique, and learn how to navigate a professional rehearsal room.
